Governor Rick Scott announced more than 100 new jobs at the grand opening of Teledyne Oil & Gas’ new Technology Development Center. The Technology Development Center will expand Teledyne’s research and development capabilities in product development, manufacturing capacity and technology innovation.
Governor Scott said, “Teledyne already employs more than 400 families in Daytona Beach and it is great news that the company decided to continue to expand in Florida and create more than 100 new jobs. Because we fought hard this year to remove the tax on manufacturing equipment, Florida businesses like Teledyne can continue to expand and create jobs and opportunities for families.”
“We are thrilled that Teledyne Oil and Gas has chosen to expand their corporate headquarters in Florida,” said Secretary of Commerce Gray Swoope, who also serves as president & CEO of Enterprise Florida. “Florida’s financial and professional sector continues to grow and businesses know they can be successful here thanks to our low corporate tax burden, strong workforce and modern infrastructure.”
