SC: Magna International to Invest $50.8M, Expand Mfg Facility, Hire 153

Governor Nikki Haley and the South Carolina Department of Commerce announced that Magna International, a leading global automotive supplier, is expanding its South Carolina manufacturing operations with a new exteriors facility in the Matrix Park, which is situated in Southern Greenville County at the corner of U.S. Highway 25 and Interstate 85. The $50.8 million investment is expected to create 153 jobs.

Headquartered in Aurora, Ontario, Canada, Magna International operates facilities across the globe, employing approximately 124,000 people worldwide. The company's product capabilities include producing body, chassis, exterior, seating, powertrain, electronic, vision, closure and roof systems and modules, as well as complete vehicle engineering and contract manufacturing.

Magna's new Greenville County facility will support new business with BMW to supply various exterior molded and painted assemblies.
