MI: Computing Source Opens HQ, Builds 1 of Largest Data Centers in Midwest

Feb 13, 2015

Computing Source, an all-in-one digital evidence and legal support firm, announced the opening of its new headquarters in Madison Heights. The location will serve as a home base for all of the company's extensive operations, and will house its new data center, which is projected to be one of the largest of its kind in Michigan. Computing Source CEO and Managing Director Mark St. Peter made the announcement.

Located at 29401 Stephenson Highway, the 39,766 square-foot facility houses 52 of Computing Source's 130+ employees, the data center and all of the company's service divisions, including electronic discovery, computer forensics, demonstrative evidence, trial presentation services, copy/scan/print services, fixed price meet and confer consulting and much more.

"Computing Source has experienced exciting, exponential growth during the past two years, including hiring more than 100 new employees, expanding our suite of services and opening new offices throughout Michigan, Chicago and Indianapolis," said St. Peter. "As our company has continued to grow, the need arose for a larger, centralized space from which to direct all of our operations. This new location provides that hub, and allows room for even more growth in the future."

One of the most prominent features of Computing Source's new headquarters is the newly built data center housed within. Capable of securely storing a petabyte of information, it is one of the largest of its kind in the Midwest, and will enable Computing Source to even better serve its roster of clients. To put this in perspective, a petabyte, which is more than 1,000 terabytes (specifically 1,024) and more than 1,000,000 megabytes, is, according to EMC Corporation, roughly equivalent to twenty million four-drawer filing cabinets filled with text or, given the average data stored by the average person in a year, enough to take one person 198,841 years to save that much data.

"Our service model has been built on providing clients every legal support service they will need during the lifecycle of their cases all under one roof. We strive to offer unprecedented convenience, and high-quality, cost-effective product," said St. Peter. "As electronic information multiples daily, our clients are constantly in search of places to securely store crucial information. This data center will be the perfect place for them to do that."
