NM: Lowe’s Investing $25M, Adding 300 Jobs at Albuquerque Support Center

Nov 15, 2012

Lowe’s announced it is expanding the company’s existing Customer Support Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and adding 300 jobs. The expansion of the facility represents a total economic investment of $25 million and plans are for approximately 900 employees to be working at the Customer Support Center by the end of 2013.

The company began operations at 6301 Jefferson Avenue, Albuquerque, in March and has leased an adjacent 32,000 square-foot-facility at 6401 Jefferson Avenue, NE for the expansion. Renovations for the expansion began in late October; target date for completion is March 2013.

The Albuquerque Customer Support Center provides multiple support functions for Lowe’s including customer care, store support, internet sales support and repair services for customers. The facility complements Lowe’s Customer Support Center operations in Wilkesboro, N.C.

“The talented, experienced workforce and availability of suitable buildings for our operations attracted us to Albuquerque. Having Customer Support Centers located in both the Mountain and Eastern Time Zones allows us to better serve our customers,” said Don Easterling, Lowe’s vice president, contact center.

Customer Service Center jobs are being posted and applications accepted online at www.lowes.com/careers. In addition to the Customer Support Center, Lowe’s operates six stores in the Albuquerque area.
