OK: Heartland Payment Systems Breaks Ground on New Sales HQ in Edmond

Mar 10, 2014

Heartland Payment Systems®, one of the nation’s largest payment processors and a leading provider of merchant business solutions, celebrated the start of construction of its new home at a groundbreaking ceremony held at the site in Edmond, Okla.. Heartland will occupy 13,000 square feet of the new, 22,000 square-foot building that will serve as the company’s Sales Headquarters. The ceremony was attended by local City Council members Nick Massey and Victoria Caldwell, Heartland executives, and architects Bockus Payne Associates Architects, P.C.

“Heartland has been part of the vibrant Edmond community for many years,” said Tony Capucille, Chief Sales Officer, Heartland Payment Systems. “Our sales team has grown significantly over the past few years and our new headquarters will give us the additional space we need to continue to expand our sales operations team well into the future.”

Heartland partnered with Bockus Payne to design the layout for the new building in Fisher Hall Office Park, which will utilize vintage raw materials. According to Taylor Starr, Director of Interior Design at the firm, the new Heartland offices will feature “Industrial Era meets Modern Minimalist” interiors by mixing reclaimed wood and tufted leather sofas with glass front offices and exposed structural and mechanical systems.

“Generous corridors and informal meeting areas reinforce the customer-first, team approach philosophy of the company,” said Starr. “The entire space will be accented by carefully placed highlights of bright colors and fun lighting.”

The interior design showcases 8x8 cubicles with sliding glass doors and large, open conference rooms made entirely of glass to promote high visibility among team members. Heartland will utilize its 13,000 square feet of space for general sales operations, recruiting and training programs.

“The open floor plan and clear lines of sight reflect the Heartland culture of teamwork and collaboration,” said Vince Lombardo, Executive Director of Sales, Great Lakes, Heartland Payment Systems. “We’re very excited that construction has started and are looking forward to moving into our future home.”

Construction is scheduled for completion by the end of December 2014.
