SC: Lash Group Plans $90M York County HQ with 2,400 Jobs

Jun 23, 2014

The Lash Group, Inc., a healthcare service provider and subsidiary of AmerisourceBergen Corporation (NYSE: ABC), today announced plans for a new national headquarters campus in York County to meet the company's existing and future space needs and enhance service to patients on behalf of its clients.

Development of a 250,000-square-foot Class A office building by Childress Klein Properties and The Springs Co. in Fort Mill is expected to begin this summer, with occupancy by The Lash Group scheduled for March 2016. The approximately $57.3 million investment in the first phase is expected to reach $90 million as The Lash Group grows and adds a second facility on the campus over time.

The company expects to employ 1,200 in Fort Mill during the first phase, with plans to double its workforce to 2,400 at the new campus over the next several years based on current growth projections.

The Lash Group works on behalf of healthcare providers and pharmaceutical manufacturers to help patients navigate the complex healthcare system and gain and maintain access to the medications prescribed for them. Based in Charlotte, the company has operations in California, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Texas with a current workforce of 3,000 company-wide.

The new Fort Mill campus will be close to a variety of existing and planned amenities for Kingsley Park, including hotels, restaurants and other businesses to serve the needs of The Lash Group associates and clients. In addition, the campus is adjacent to the Anne Springs Close Greenway, a 2,100-acre natural area that associates will be able to enjoy for health, wellness and corporate events.

The company plans to continue hiring while the Fort Mill headquarters campus is under construction. Those interested in positions with the company should visit The Lash Group's careers page.

The Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved a $2 million set aside grant and job development credits for the project.
