TN: SpecialtyCare, Inc. to Expand HQ in Brentwood, Create 124 Jobs

Mar 16, 2018

Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and SpecialtyCare, Inc. officials announced the company will expand its headquarters in Brentwood. The healthcare company plans to create 124 new jobs in Tennessee.

“There are more than 360,000 Tennesseans employed in the healthcare industry and it’s because of companies like SpecialtyCare that Tennessee will lead in job creation, as this industry continues to thrive in our state,” Haslam said. “We thank SpecialtyCare for its continued investment in Tennessee and for creating more than 100 new high-quality jobs in Williamson County.”

SpecialtyCare, Inc. is a healthcare company that supports surgeons and medical centers with highly skilled people, equipment and data that increase reliability, drive improved clinical outcomes and reduce costs. The company delivers exceptional care outcomes, patient safety and financial results in more than 1,000 hospitals and health systems, and supports more than 13,500 physicians who perform more than 400,000 surgical procedures annually in 46 states and Puerto Rico.

“Since 2011, 15,500 jobs have been created in Tennessee’s healthcare industry and I appreciate SpecialtyCare for creating more than 100 new jobs to this sector,” Rolfe said. “I want to thank SpecialtyCare for investing in our state and I look forward to seeing the company’s future growth in Tennessee.”

SpecialtyCare plans to consolidate multiple locations to a 40,000-square-foot facility within the Eastpark Office Park in Maryland Farms in Brentwood. The company is investing in state-of-the-art clinical training facilities with an expanded simulation operating room and classrooms with enhanced technology features, such as touchscreen smartboards and significantly broader and faster wireless capabilities. Eastpark is owned in a partnership between Ayers Asset Management and Boyle Investment Company, which plan to transition Eastpark to a multi-tenant campus. Renovations include adding glass to the building exteriors, substantial exterior hardscape and landscaping, and interior modernization of all the building systems and common areas.

“As a leading provider of outsourced clinical services across the United States, SpecialtyCare has enjoyed steady growth for over a decade. This move allows us to further support that growth by bringing our administrative and training teams that support our clinicians under one roof in Eastpark,” SpecialtyCare CEO Sam Weinstein, MD, MBA, said.

“The larger, modernized space with its upgraded training facilities provides room to expand and gives us easy access to local resources,” Weinstein added. “SpecialtyCare has a long-standing relationship with Boyle. Ayers Asset Management and Boyle have done a wonderful job renovating Eastpark Three for us. We are grateful to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development and TVA for supporting our efforts as an employer of choice. Eastpark will be a great new home that accommodates our needs today and as we continue to grow.”

“The ownership group is committed to returning Eastpark to a fully modernized Class A office park,” Executive Vice President of Ayers Asset Management Jon Ayers said. “We’re excited to welcome SpecialtyCare as the anchor tenant to kick off this redevelopment.”

Local leaders and the Tennessee Valley Authority thanked SpecialtyCare for its investment in Brentwood.

“The expansion of SpecialtyCare, Inc. is another example of companies growing and succeeding in Williamson County’s thriving economy,” Williamson County Mayor Rogers Anderson said.

“TVA and Nashville Electric Service congratulate SpecialtyCare on its decision to expand operations and create hundreds of new job opportunities in Williamson County,” said TVA Senior Vice President of Economic Development John Bradley. “Attracting and retaining quality jobs is fundamental to TVA’s mission of service, and we are proud to partner with Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development, Williamson Inc., Williamson County and city of Brentwood to help further that mission.”

Brentwood and Williamson County are represented by Sen. Jack Johnson (R – Franklin), Rep. Glen Casada (R – Franklin), Rep. Charles Sargent (R – Franklin) and Rep. Sam Whitson (R – Franklin) in the Tennessee General Assembly.
