MPW Industrial Services broke ground for a new building that will be home to the company's engineering and technology functions.
The $10 million, 76,000-square-foot project includes a two-story office building and a one-story fabrication center on the company's 46-acre headquarters campus in Hebron, Ohio.
Company officials said they expect to add 60 employees during the next five years in connection with the expansion and generate more than 100 construction jobs.
"Technical innovation is a significant competitive advantage and a critical element of our company's future," said Jared Black, general manager of engineering and fabrication for MPW. "This new facility will enable us to accommodate our growing engineering and IT teams with a goal of developing new technologies faster and more efficiently."
Construction will begin next month. The new building is expected to open next spring.
MPW employs approximately 700 throughout central Ohio, including 400 here.
