SC: SpecChem to Open $5.5M, 50-Job Mfg. Facility in Dorchester County

SpecChem LLC, a supplier to concrete distributor networks, is opening a new manufacturing facility in Dorchester County. The more than $5.5 million investment is expected to create 50 new jobs.

The company has completed the acquisition of a 65,000-square-foot facility located in Harleyville, S.C. and will begin moving in state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment with plans to be operational by fall 2014. The plant will produce SpecChem's complete line of cementitious products with full capacity for liquids by year's end.

Founded in 2006, SpecChem now operates six locations across the country including the South Carolina facility and operations in Las Vegas, Nev., Farmersville, Texas, Edwardsville, Kan., Kansas City, Kan. and corporate headquarters in Kansas City, Mo.
