TN: Homeland Vinyl Products Locating New Mfg Facility in Hawkins County

May 08, 2015

Tennessee Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd along with Homeland Vinyl officials announced the company will locate a new manufacturing facility in Surgoinsville, Tennessee. Homeland Vinyl has purchased an existing facility in the Phipps Bend Industrial Park, located at 140 Industrial Dr., where it will manufacture vinyl fence, decking and railing products and accessories. Through this expansion, Homeland Vinyl is expected to create 25 new jobs.

“We want to welcome Homeland Vinyl to Tennessee and thank them for creating these new jobs in Hawkins County,” Boyd said. “Homeland Vinyl is a valuable addition to these communities and we look forward to their continued growth and success.”

Homeland Vinyl Products is one of the largest manufacturers of vinly fence, deck and railing systems in the U.S. Through this expansion, the company will move its manufacturing equipment from Colorado to the Surgoinsville location, which will allow for the addition of new product lines.

The company expects to be operational immediately and will be working with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) for recruitment of skilled positions at the plant once additional positions are available as it expands. People interested in applying to the TCAT can contact John Burdine at 423-345-4130 or visit the TCAT at 323 Phipps Bend Rd., Surgoinsville, TN 37873.

Surgoinsville and Hawkins County are represented by Rep. Mike Harrison (R – Rogersville) and Sen. Frank Niceley (R – Strawberry Plains).
