Herb Kohler, chairman and CEO of Kohler Co., announced the expansion of its Global Power business at three locations in Wisconsin. An extension will be added to its production facility in the Town of Mosel and over the next three years more than 300 new jobs will be added in the facilities in Village of Saukville, the Village of Kohler and the Town of Mosel.
“This investment reflects our commitment to provide homeowners and businesses with superior product and rapid delivery,” said Herbert V. Kohler, Jr., chairman and CEO of Kohler Co. “Plus, this expansion gives us the space to better support our current associates and business, while developing new team members and products.”
Governor Scott Walker said the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) has aligned with Kohler Co. for the company’s planned expansion of its power systems business. “This expansion by one of Wisconsin’s iconic companies is great news,” said Gov. Walker. “I am pleased to announce this support for Kohler’s commitment to growing their business and creating jobs in Wisconsin.”

WEDC and the company are finalizing the terms for tax credits.
Since 2011, there have been more than 5,000 power outages and more than 50 million homes and businesses affected in North America alone thus creating the charge for more demand in standby power. According to The Huffington Post, more than 8 million people were without power from Superstorm Sandy in 2012 and two weeks later more than 300,000 still remained powerless.
