KY: Berry Global to Invest $40-50M to Expand in Madisonville, Hire 79

Mar 27, 2018

Berry Global, Inc. (Berry) announced that an expansion of its Madisonville, Kentucky production facility will add 79 new jobs.

The expansion is the direct result of a new product line that will produce plastic packaging. As part of the project, Berry will invest $40-50 million in new equipment and facility upgrades. These new enhancements will bring approximately 79 new full-time jobs, with a potential for additional future growth, to the local community in 2018.

“We are very pleased to be expanding production at our Madisonville facility," said Tom Salmon, Chairman and CEO of Berry Global. "We would like to thank officials from Madisonville and Hopkins County for their ongoing support of our growth initiatives.”

“We greatly appreciate the continued investment by Berry into our community and are very happy about the additional jobs that this expansion will create. The amount of investment shows a significant commitment by the company to our area, and the confidence they have in our workforce,”said Mayor David Jackson.

“We are very excited that Madisonville was selected among other communities for this new Berry investment,” said Economic Development Corporation President Ray Hagerman. “These are excellent jobs for our community.

“We’re elated that Berry continues to strengthen its investment in Hopkins County and our workforce,” said Judge Executive Donnie Carroll. “The new jobs created by this expansion will offer great opportunities for our citizens. We look forward to a long partnership with Berry and are pleased to congratulate them on this latest successful venture.”

The Company will be hiring to fill the newly created openings, which include both entry-level manufacturing and skilled trade positions. Interested applicants may apply online at the company’s website at http://www.berryglobal.com/careers
