Green Fence Recycling Corporation, a startup recycling firm, is establishing operations in Marion County. The company is investing $2.5 million in the facility, creating 40 new jobs in Mullins, S.C. over the next five years.
Established in 2014, Green Fence Recycling offers sorting, shredding and cleaning services for the recyclable plastics industry. Representing the company's headquarters, its Marion County facility will serve both the U.S. and China markets, focusing on the processing of mixed rigid plastics and polypropylene, as well as PET fines washing.
Located at 3630 East Highway 76 in Mullins, S.C., the 65,000-square-foot facility is expected to be fully operational in February 2016. Once hiring begins, interested applicants who want to join the Green Fence Recycling team may visit the SC Works website to apply.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved job development credits, as well as a $100,000 grant to Marion County to assist with the costs of real property improvements.
