Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty along with RCTENN officials announced the company’s plans to expand its Gallatin, Tenn. facility. The expansion represents a $1.3 million investment by RCTENN and will create 45 new jobs in Sumner County.
“When incumbent industries choose to expand in Tennessee, it is a vote of confidence in our state’s business-friendly environment and quality workforce,” Hagerty said. “I appreciate RCTENN’s continued and growing investment and the additional jobs that will be created in Sumner County.”
“Everyone here at RCTENN is excited about the new business coming into our company,” RCTENN President Rob Coleman said. “We greatly appreciate the GEAR organization in Gallatin for facilitating the process and bringing the state to the table. We also appreciate the incentives offered by the city of Gallatin. These programs were invaluable, enabling us to expand our facility and add these positions.”
A member of the Gallatin business community since 1997, RCTENN is a leading manufacturer of refrigerator components, construction application and consumer products such as plastic toolboxes, housewares and cleaning accessories. The company was recently selected as the southern manufacturing point for a northeast manufacturer of storage totes found at Family Dollar, Dollar General, Lowe’s and several other nationwide retailers.
“This is their second plant expansion,” said Mayor Jo Ann Graves. “We are excited to watch them continue to grow, bring jobs to our community and remain an active corporate citizen in Gallatin.”
“It is the RCTENNs in our community that are making a difference in today’s economy,” James Fenton, executive director of the Gallatin Economic Development Agency, said. “Choosing to expand their footprint is a vote of confidence for this business-friendly community. We are glad they are here.”
RCTENN currently employs 57 people and will be adding 45 new production, maintenance and process technician positions. To learn more about the company, please visit http://www.rctenn.com/.
