Governor Rick Scott announced that OMNICOMMANDER will be creating more than 30 new jobs in the financial technology industry. OMNICOMMANDER is a Miramar Beach-based technology company specializing in credit union website design, social media marketing and branding solutions that currently employs more than 20 Floridians. The more than 30 new jobs will include positions for web developers, project managers, quality assurance professionals, sales executives and account representatives.
Governor Scott said, “Since becoming Governor, I have spent every day focused on creating jobs. Florida’s small businesses have led our state in the creation of more than 1.5 million jobs for Florida families since 2011. This announcement is great news for families in Miramar Beach. I will never stop working until every Florida family that wants a job can get one.”
Walton County Commissioner and Chair Cecilia Jones, said, “We are proud that OMNICOMMANDER has chosen to stay and grow in Miramar Beach. Not only is the company creating jobs, they are high-wage jobs which is exactly what our economy needs to thrive. This is a great day for all of Walton County.”
OMNICOMMANDER Founder and CEO Eric Isham said, “As our company continued to experience growth, we had to consider all our options on how to best expand. As I explored other areas, I just couldn’t find another state as business-friendly as Florida. It means a lot when the Governor of a state takes the time to call you and thank you for doing business here and asks how he can help. In addition, Walton County came together to provide us with important tax incentives to meet our needs. I’m excited about the future and look forward to building a thriving technology hub right here in Northwest Florida.”
Peter Antonacci, CEO of Enterprise Florida Inc., said, “OMNICOMMANDER’s expansion proves that employers are benefitting from Florida’s strong workforce talent. These new jobs will provide more opportunity for Walton County families.”
