Publix is scheduled to open two new grocery stores, one in Liberty Park, Ala., and one in Moncks Corner, S.C. The Liberty Park store is scheduled to pen June 3, creating 135 new jobs. No official opening date for the South Carolina store was announced.
“Our customers have been looking forward to having a new Publix in their neighborhood,” Brenda Reid, Community Relations Manager for Publix’s Atlanta Division, said. “Our associates will continue to offer the best shopping experience possible for our customers by following recommended guidelines outlined by the CDC and the State of Alabama.”
Publix Community Relations Manager Kim Reynolds disclosed to the news source that the company has officially signed a lease for the Moncks Corner facility, which will be 48,000 square feet.
