Fishing tackle manufacturer Daiwa USA recently completed its an office and warehouse move, to a new facility in Foothill Ranch, Calif, that doubles the company's space and capacity to ship product.
Planning for the new facility started in 2019, but issues from the COVID-19 pandemic that affected the supply chain, along with construction and warehouse materials shortages, slowed the process, reports Fishing Tackle Retailer.
Now, though, "The new facility sets us up to grow DAIWA’s business and better serve our dealers and customers," said Daiwa USA President Carey Graves. The new facility has 20 truck bays dedicated to both inbound and outbound shipping.
Added square footage enables DAIWA to add both a dedicated shipping office and an after-service reel maintenance/repair center within the warehouse and main entrance area. A revamp of DAIWA racking systems for pick-and-ship needs also provides more efficient operations, reports Fishing Tackle Retailer.
