Carlisle Interconnect Technologies (CarlisleIT), headquartered in Saint Augustine, Florida, with multiple factories located around the world, is pleased to announce a multi-million dollar expansion at its Saint Augustine facility that the company says will lead to approximately 90 new jobs over the next two to three years. The expansion comprises twenty thousand square feet of manufacturing, training and office space as well as additional parking and a storm water retention pond.
CarlisleIT’s President, John Berlin says the expansion represents strong company growth in the aerospace and military markets. Among other things, the international company, which employs about 1,900 people worldwide and 354 in St. Johns County, is recognized as a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance wire and cable including fiber; RF/Microwave, specialty and filtered connectors; cable assemblies, racks and shelf assemblies; and offers engineering and certification services.
John Berlin commented, “This expansion reflects the hard work and dedication of the company’s employees which has led to our success in the marketplace. It’s only natural that we continue to invest in our factory here in St. Johns County and hire more talented people to support this growth.”
St. Johns County officials are pleased to support CarlisleIT’s expansion and the positive economic impact it will have. “This project is one of the first tangible results of St. Johns County’s renewed emphasis on economic development,” said County Administrator Michael Wanchick. “After then County Commission Chair Ron Sanchez became aware of CarlisleIT’s expansion plans, County staff dedicated themselves to working with the company and successfully met their condensed schedule to begin construction. We look forward to a continued relationship with CarlisleIT here in St. Johns County. “
Carlisle Interconnect Technologies has been a proud member of St. Johns County since 1987.
