FL: Salty Donut to Open New Shop in Orlando, Will Hire 30 Employees

Jul 20, 2020
The Salty Donut is set to open a shop in Orlando, Fla., it's fourth location. Described as an artisanal donut shop and coffee bar, the new shop will open in the fall in a standalone store in the Audubon Park community near downtown Orlando, said a company spokesperson.

About 30 people will be hired for the new shop, which will be in a nearly 1,600-square-foot space that was a former car/auto service building.

"The Salty prides itself on integrating history from each community and structure that it moves into and because of that, the space will feature details inspired by the original building in its design," Director of Marketing Danny Pizzaro told Orlando Business Journal. "The brand actively seeks distinctive spaces with interesting history in an effort to have their guests connect with their local Salty store. Each space reflects the neighborhood that it is a part of."

The Salty Donut specializes in chef-made, small-batch, craft donuts. It has had a year-and-a-half of steady expansion, opening its second location in South Miami and a third in Dallas last year. The brand's first shop opened in 2015 in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood.
