SmartStream Technologies, the financial Transaction and Lifecycle Management (TLM®) solutions provider, officially opened its Jacksonville office on June 15, and will be recruiting for a variety of roles to support both local operations and its continued growth in the global Fintech space.
SmartStream is a London-based financial solutions and managed services provider that will start with 20 employees here, focusing on providing technology and business support services, client onboarding, professional services, and solution pre-sales.
“SmartStream is the latest in a long line of companies that are recognizing Jacksonville’s growing prominence in the financial technology industry,” said Mayor Lenny Curry. “And this is just the beginning. The momentum is only going to continue to build as more companies realize the amazing opportunities our community has to offer.
The company currently has more than 1,000 employees deployed across 25 global offices, and Jacksonville is the first Southeastern U.S. office. With more than four decades of experience, SmartStream is a trusted partner in the delivery of automation and control to 70 of the world’s top 100 banks, capital markets, buy-side firms, and corporations.
Haytham Kaddoura, CEO of SmartStream said, “The opening of this center marks a milestone in the growth of our solutions and managed services offerings. Dedicated to the development and support of our services we wanted a site that was near customers, offered a pool of available talent and was location in an area that was conducive to doing business. After researching potential locations Jacksonville was a logical choice and once we met with the Development Officials we were certain we had made the right decision.”
While some executives and staff will be relocating from New York, most of the employees will be hired from the region.
“Talent is the key when companies are making investment decisions and we’re seeing fintech companies from around the world open here because they know they can find the skilled employees they need to succeed,” JAXUSA Partnership President Aundra Wallace said. “We thank SmartStream for their investment here and welcome them to the growing list of innovative fintech companies in Jacksonville.”
