GA: New Sumter County Processing Center to Create 100+ Jobs

Nov 02, 2020
BandD Foods, a supplier of frozen meat products, has opened a new facility at the former ‘Glover’ building, at 119 Old Andersonville Road. The building will serve as a production and management office, already well equipped with refrigeration and dock doors.

Much of the BandD Foods product line consists of a variety of fully cooked frozen meals of both battered and non-battered products and is known as a ‘developer of specialty food products.’

Rusty Warner, Executive Director of the Sumter County Georgia Development Authority, stated, “BandD Foods will quickly create 100+ new jobs within a $15 million investment. They are a perfect fit for this building and community. We will work closely with them to help fill the positions and with any other future needs.”

The Sumter County Development Authority has a highly engaged board, responsible for cultivating new business while maintaining a balance of workforce, buildings, and building options. The Authority consistently promotes our county and is always looking for outside-the-box innovative ways to attract businesses to our community.

“Once a company chooses Sumter County, they usually find our community will genuinely reach out to
embrace their project,” said Warner.
