Maxzone, a Subsidiary of DEPO Auto Parts, selects Norcross for Southeast Headquarters operation, adds 30 new jobs in Gwinnett

In partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development and Gwinnett Chamber economic development, Maxzone, a subsidiary of DEPO Auto Parts, announces its relocation and expansion its of southeast headquarters and distribution operations to Norcross. The expansion includes the purchase of over 200,000 square feet of warehouse and office space, investing nearly $10 million in Gwinnett and bringing 30 new jobs over the next year. The new facility is located at 6575 Jimmy Carter Boulevard in Norcross.

“Gwinnett is the leader in attracting internationally bases companies by cultivating a community that prides itself on excellence and commitment,” said Polo Hsu, President of Maxzone “We have the same commitment to our customers across the globe and we are excited to build a home in Gwinnett with future plans for expansion and job creation.”

“For years, Georgia has been a real magnet for investment out of Asia. These companies are finding our business culture very comfortable, encouraging them to further expand their operations here,” said Heidi Green, Commissioner of the Georgia Department of Economic Development.

Locating from west Atlanta, Maxzone chose Gwinnett and the City of Norcross for their convenience to major roadways for national transport connectivity. Maxzone retail channels will pick up their products with shorter driving distance, and easier access.

“Relocations like Maxzone add tremendous value to Gwinnett’s strong business community,” said Gwinnett County Commission Vice Chair, Shirley Lasseter. “We are pleased they have chosen our community for their relocation and expansion and look ahead to their continued growth in our community.”

“We welcome Maxzone to Norcross with open arms,” said City of Norcross Mayor, Bucky Johnson. “Our City works extensively with leaders at the Chamber and County to make sure we are recruiting growing businesses like Maxzone to our region and it is always great to see success from those efforts continually realized.”

Named one of Taiwan’s top 20 brands in 2010, Maxzone Auto Parts distributes auto headlights as the main line of business and showcases additional auto parts as well. The expansion allows Maxzone to increase the warehouse capacity for new products and existing products from warehouses in Illinois, New Jersey, and California – a strong success story for Gwinnett’s economic and community development initiative known as Partnership Gwinnett.

“Partnership Gwinnett continues to set the standard for business recruitment and economic development across the world,” said Nick Masino, vice president of economic development and Partnership Gwinnett at the Gwinnett Chamber. “Maxzone brings added value to our international business community. And with a recruitment mission to Taiwan coming up in November, our goal will be to create more opportunities for businesses, like Maxzone, to put their US operations in Gwinnett and metro Atlanta.”
