Georgia Department of Economic Development re-launches Georgia.org GDEcD and marketing agency Engauge launch site dedicated to business and the tourism industry The Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD) and Engauge, a total marketing solutions agency, announce the launch of a new business-focused website for the state of Georgia, www.Georgia.org. “Particularly in today’s economy, GDEcD recognizes the importance of being a strong voice for commerce in the state,” said Charlie Gatlin, deputy commissioner for tourism and marketing for GDEcD. “Georgia.org is a comprehensive resource for doing business in Georgia, and it represents our commitment to supporting and growing industry in the state.” GDEcD collaborated with Engauge to redesign Georgia.org in order to broadly address business issues. The website provides information on: · the benefits of locating in Georgia, such as its transportation network and business-friendly environment · doing business in Georgia, covering topics like relocation and international business; · industry-specific information on 12 of Georgia’s strategic industries; · community development, including partnerships with non-profit organizations and chambers of commerce. From a technology perspective, the site was designed in a modular fashion, meaning that areas of the site are moveable and allow for new content to be added and shifted around easily. In addition, the site was developed to give GDEcD control of the content by using a sophisticated content management system (CMS). “The flexibility of Georgia.org’s design makes it a long-term solution for GDEcD,” said Jeff Hilimire, managing director for Engauge’s digital group. “Giving them control over content, and the placement of that content, means that when their message shifts with the times, they won’t be left with a site that fails to communicate with their audience.” About Engauge Engauge, a portfolio company of Halyard Capital, is a total marketing solutions agency, dedicated to delivering transformational ideas that move someone — to act, to choose, to believe in a brand.
