IL: High-Tech Mini-Golf/Dining Concept to Expand in U.S.

Oct 07, 2021
Puttshack, an entertainment venue combining tech-infused mini-golf with food and drink, will open its second U.S. location in November at the Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook, Ill. The more than 25,000-sq.-ft. space will feature four custom-made, tech-driven, “highly competitive” mini-golf courses.

The courses are powered by the brand's “Trackaball” technology, which is integrated throughout the entire game experience, including automated scoring, bonus points opportunities, interactive games at each hole and more. The format also includes a “globally-inspired” dining menu and bar, with an upscale nightclub vibe.

In April 2021, Puttshack opened its first U.S. location, at The Interlock in Atlanta. In 2022, the company will open locations in Miami, Boston, Houston and Scottsdale, Ariz., followed by Nashville and an additional outpost in 2023. (The company opened its first location in 2018, in London where it now has three outposts.)

"We are excited to be opening Puttshack's second U.S. location at Oakbrook Center," said Joe Vrankin, CEO of Puttshack. "As a company globally headquartered in Chicago, it's very special to bring the Puttshack experience to our own backyard in just a couple of weeks."

Puttshack is committed to giving back to its community by supporting Loaves & Fishes, an anti-poverty, hunger relief organization providing healthy food and programs for self-sufficiency to struggling families in DuPage County. As part of its menu give-back program, Puttshack Oakbrook is pledging $1.00 for every purchase of the Chicago Tailpipe, a locally inspired sharable dish on its menu.
