Douglas Industries Inc. of Eldridge, Iowa, a leading manufacturer of institutional sports facility products, announces the completion of a significant expansion of its office and warehouse facilities. The expansion, which has added 20,000 square feet to the company’s existing footprint, will accommodate its rapid growth and enable the company to serve its customers better.
The newly expanded facility includes 2,700 square feet of state-of-the-art office space designed to foster collaboration and innovation among the company’s growing workforce. The new office space features a new collaborative meeting room, a new break room, three new private offices, two open-plan workspace areas, and two new bathrooms. All existing offices were modernized with new furniture to better accommodate employees’ needs.
The warehouse expansion adds 17,300 square feet of storage and distribution space, increasing the company’s capacity to hold inventory and streamline logistics operations. Key features of the expanded warehouse include increased loading docks, new racking systems, and increased manufacturing space to facilitate custom fabrication orders.
“The new expansion has allowed us to increase our manufacturing capacity and capabilities to keep up with the increasing demand for our products,” said Chris Rickerl, Executive Vice President of Operations. “The new space allows us to focus on the current and future growth of the company without the space restrictions that we faced in the past.”
The expansion project was completed in February 2025.
