IA: Economic Development Board OK's 2 Projects, to Create 27 Jobs

The Iowa Economic Development Authority Board approved projects for companies in Perry and Fairfield, which will assist in the creation of 27 jobs and result in more than $6.7 million in new capital investment for the state. 
 
T.C. and B. Corporate Wearables expands presence in Perry
 
T.C. and B. Corporate Wearables, Inc., a contract designer, manufacturer and distributor of primarily textile products such as headwear, sportswear, outerwear, bags and blankets, plans to finish a spec building in the Perry Industrial Park. When finished, the company will utilize two floors of office space and approximately 20,000 square feet of warehouse space. The board awarded this project, which will result in $2 million in new capital investment for the state, tax benefits through the High Quality Jobs program (HQJ). T.C. and B. Corporate Wearables is expected to create 10 jobs, of which four are incented at a qualifying wage of $25.19 per hour.
 
Traffix Devices to expand in Fairfield
 
Traffix Devices, Inc. manufactures traffic control devices and crash attenuation products from a facility in Fairfield. Its products, designed and engineered to meet highway requirements in countries around the world, range from rubber cones and barrels to barricades and roll-up construction signs. Traffix will expand its rotocast production facility by 17,000 square feet and add two production machines. The board awarded this project, which is expected to result in $4.7 million in capital investment, tax benefits through HQJ. The project is set to create 17 total jobs, five of which are incented at a qualifying wage of $20.72 per hour.
