Feldmeier Equipment Inc. announced plans to expand the Shell Rock, Iowa, facilities by investing more than $20 million and adding more than 130,000 square feet of state-of-the-art stainless steel tanks, pressure vessels and custom fabrication and manufacturing.

As the largest manufacturer of stainless-steel vessels in the Western Hemisphere, Feldmeier operations have met their capacity and are poised to grow the Iowa operations to continue meeting demand in industries such as dairy, food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical, according to a press release by the company.

"Iowa has proven to be an epicenter for outstanding production, thanks in part to the incomparable workforce and quality in every project," the company said in the press release.

“We look forward to growth, not only in production but engineering as well, a pivotal piece in everything we do,” said CEO and President Colby Clark. “What we do matters, now more than ever.”

Tentatively set to break ground in the second quarter, the new facility is slated to open around June 2025.

The over $20 million investment is a testament to the company's success and the confidence and trust that the family-owned and operated business has in its team, the press release said.
