In a new study that could influence site selection by citing quality of life factors, researchers at the journal Planetary Health found that living near parks and lakes can improve mental health for all populations. The study also found that green spaces in urban areas had the additional benefits of reducing noise and air pollution, reducing flooding, improving biodiversity and creating jobs.
