Advanced Sinter Metal Technologies, Inc. (ASMT, Inc.) and Sinter Metal Technologies (SMT) are pleased to announce the opening of the newest plant in its manufacturing alliance in Slidell, La.
For these Turkish-Leichtenstein based companies, the opening of this production plant in the United States
marks the first time it is able to serve the market in an expanded role beyond its distribution centers and
warehouses. As the Slidell location grows to be ASMT, Inc’s U.S. headquarters, it will also soon host research
and development for North America.
This highly technologically driven alliance, pioneering unique technologies in the powder metallurgy field, is
committed to further advancing the boundaries of science and technology and is confident it has found a home
it can continue to grow in Slidell.
ASMT, Inc. will be headquartered in the old Textron building and will mass manufacture metal parts using
powder metal technology through the process of sintering. This foreign direct investment project represents the
first capital investment in Louisiana from the Republic of Turkey and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
ASMT Inc.’s new manufacturing facility will initially create 15 new direct jobs with an average salary of $55,000 per year including benefits for an annual payroll of over $800,000. The total capital investment by ASMT, Inc. into the region will be $5 million by the end of 2019.
