Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan recentlyi attended the grand opening of the new Amazon Fulfillment Center in Baltimore County. This facility, located at Tradepoint Atlantic in Sparrows Point, employs more than 2,000 people to pick, pack, and ship orders for customers. Governor Hogan was joined by Baltimore County Executive John Olszewski Jr., Maryland Commerce Secretary Kelly M. Schulz, and officials from Amazon and Tradepoint Atlantic.
“With the addition of this facility, which features Amazon robotics and innovative technologies, we are bringing over 2,000 more great jobs here to Baltimore County,” said Governor Hogan. “Through state-of-the-art facilities like this one, this powerful partnership is helping to solidify Maryland’s reputation as a business-friendly environment by bringing meaningful transformative investment and thousands of good, high-paying jobs for our citizens.”

Not just for Amazon and Tradepoint Atlantic, but for Baltimore County, for the Port of Baltimore, for Maryland, and for the entire region,” said Secretary Schulz. “The Hogan administration works tirelessly to make sure Maryland is a state that welcomes and supports businesses, so projects like this can put down roots, flourish, and create good jobs for our residents.”
