The Human Performance Company Opens 121,000 Square Foot Office in Iconic Kenmore Square; Offers Extensive Employee-Friendly Amenities

WHOOP, the human performance company, announced the official opening of its new global headquarters located in the heart of Kenmore Square, a beloved Boston neighborhood that’s home to the oldest stadium in Major League Baseball, Fenway Park. The new 121,000 square-foot space spans eight floors that offer panoramic views of the city including the landmark Citgo Sign, Charles River and Fenway Park.

Within the new headquarters, employees will have access to various amenities including the WHOOP Cafe, a rooftop collaboration space with tables and seating, lactation rooms and private spaces for relaxation and meditation. These particular areas of the office encourage employees to take a minute to recharge, keeping with the company’s mission of helping people focus on their recovery, a concept that was first established by WHOOP when the brand got its start more than a decade ago.

One Kenmore Square also houses WHOOP Labs, a state-of-the art innovation hub where research and development will be conducted. The ceiling of WHOOP Labs, which can be seen from the heart of Kenmore Square, displays the phrase “Always On”, the same text that’s imprinted on each WHOOP device, as it’s designed to be worn 24/7. There will also be an apparel and accessories studio where WHOOP will conceptualize and design new gear, as well as a recording studio for The WHOOP Podcast.

“We’re proud to open our new global headquarters and begin our next chapter of growth in Boston’s most iconic neighborhood,” said Will Ahmed, Founder and CEO of WHOOP. “The headquarters speaks to our DNA, at the heart of Boston’s extraordinary sports scene, world-class health and medical institutions, and elite universities.”

WHOOP was founded in 2012 by Will Ahmed at Harvard Innovation Labs in Cambridge and has since been headquartered in Boston. In its new location, WHOOP is within very close proximity to Boston's leading hospitals, universities, Fenway Park – also along the Boston Marathon route, ideally suited for WHOOP as a company that's at the forefront of innovation in human performance.

WHOOP currently has 30 open roles available at the new headquarters. This includes opportunities across business intelligence and analytics, data science and research, hardware, marketing, membership services, product, software and talent.
