Uniform Color Company, founded in 1981, is planning a $12 million, 25,000-square-foot expansion of its Holland, Mich., headquarters, which will include new machinery and equipment, along with 13 new jobs.
The expansion is supported from the Michigan Strategic Fund with a $195,000 performance-based grant through the Micro Michigan Business Development Program. The City of Holland also has offered a 50% tax abatement to support the project.
The company, founded in 1981, is a producer and full-service provider of high-performance color and additive master batch for thermoplastics. Customers include those in the automotive, furniture, packaging and industrial sectors.
“This project will create new jobs for our community and our state and add to our economic health and quality of life,” Holland City Manager Keith Van Beek wrote in a release. “We appreciate the partnership with the state of Michigan to make this project possible.”
