MS: HomeStretch to Expand in Nettleton, Create 71 Jobs

May 03, 2019

HomeStretch, Inc., an upholstered reclining furniture manufacturer, is expanding in Nettleton. The project is a $500,000 corporate investment and will create 71 jobs.

“HomeStretch is a great example of a homegrown company finding the tools and resources needed for long-term success in our great state. I know its new employees, along with its existing workforce, will continue HomeStretch’s legacy of quality craftsmanship so the company enjoys many more successful years in Monroe County,” Gov. Phil Bryant said.

HomeStretch’s expansion accommodates an increase in consumer demand. The project involves the construction of an approximately 100,000-square-foot addition, as well as the installation of new equipment, at the company’s existing location.

“We are very appreciative for the assistance we have received on this project from Monroe County, the city of Nettleton, Three Rivers and the Mississippi Development Authority,” said HomeStretch President Skipper Holliman. “The support we have received from these agencies has been instrumental in providing us the resources we’ve needed to continually grow since our beginning in 2010.”

The Mississippi Development Authority is providing assistance for site preparation.

“HomeStretch’s decision to expand its footprint in Nettleton is a strong indicator of the supportive business climate Mississippi’s leaders have created so companies can achieve their goals in our state,” said MDA Executive Director Glenn McCullough, Jr. “We salute the teamwork of the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, Monroe County Board of Supervisors, city of Nettleton & Three Rivers Planning and Development District, which, along with the MDA team, played a key role so that HomeStretch could create 71 new career opportunities for the people of Northeast Mississippi.”

Based in Nettleton, HomeStretch began operations in early 2010. The company currently employs 430 workers at its Nettleton facility and has committed to filling the 71 new jobs over the next four years.
