MS: Lockers Manufacturing Breaks Ground on Expansion Project in Batesville, Miss.

Jun 06, 2024

Lockers Manufacturing of Batesville, Miss., broke ground recently on its new 15,000-sq.-ft. expansion. Lockers supplies a variety of customers including public school districts, government offices and sports arenas.

The expansion will increase the factory’s footprint substantially, and will further rehabilitate a portion of the city that had seen a recent decline in property values and an increase in crime. The company is an industry leader in the production and installation of high end security storage units – covering everything from standard school, gym, and work lockers to storage spaces custom built for new homes and businesses. The company designs, manufactures, finishes, and installs its products in a completely vertically integrated process.

The groundbreaking event featured remarks from U.S. Senator Roger Wicker, Panola Partnership director of economic development Joe Azar, and Mississippi Manufacturers Association president and CEO John McKay, along with Lockers CEO Keith Dunham.

Dunham took the opportunity to share further plans for increase, including the purchase of adjacent property and the possibility of a new company headquarters being built close to the original building.
