Officials from Anel Corporation, supplier of steel fabrications and hydraulic and fuel tanks, have announced the company is expanding its operations in Carroll County. The expansion involves an addition to the company’s existing plant, as well as the purchase of new machinery in order to increase production capacity and efficiency. The project will create 20 new jobs.
“Anel’s expansion clearly demonstrates the company’s confidence in our state’s workforce and in Mississippi’s business climate,” said Gray Swoope, executive director of the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA). “This expansion is great news for Carroll County, and I thank Charles Holder, owner of both Anel and Hol-Mac, which recently expanded at its Bay Springs location, for his continued investment in our state and workforce.”
MDA worked closely with Anel and local officials on the project, providing the county with funding for infrastructure improvements and the company with an Existing Industry Productivity Loan to assist with the expansion. Additionally, the county provided funding for infrastructure improvements for the project. The company’s total investment in the project was $2.5 million, including repayment of the loan.
“We appreciate the support given to Anel by the Carroll County Board of Supervisors and MDA. Their support has enabled us to grow and to compete on a global stage,” said Jamie Holder, vice president of Anel Corporation.
