OH: Integra Beauty to Invest $4+ Million to Expand, Adding 61 Jobs

Jul 01, 2019
Integra Beauty, Inc., a growing beauty, fashion and lifestyle company, has announced plans to create a new distribution center in the Columbus Region, creating 61 new jobs and investing more than $4 million. Hiring for material handlers and packers, warehouse, finance, IT and human resources positions will begin immediately.

Integra Beauty’s distribution center at 2850 Rohr Road in Groveport will be the company’s first outside of California. The company will occupy the facility to better serve its East Coast customer base, streamline the returns process and provide future capacity for other brands the company serves.

“As our company continues to expand its distribution footprint, we are taking strategic steps to provide the best customer service possible while maximizing the reach of our brands,” said John Maurer, Vice President of Operations at Integra Beauty. “The Columbus Region’s access to the U.S. market, along with its skilled workforce, makes this a smart move for us during our next chapter of growth. Integra is also appreciative of the support from VanTrust in the expansion of our brands on the East Coast and in the Midwest.” Based in Los Angeles with a distribution center in Chatsworth, California, Integra Beauty owns multiple beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands.

The new distribution center is the fourth project developed in Groveport by VanTrust Real Estate, a national developer with a regional office in Columbus. Rick Trott with CBRE represented VanTrust in this transaction, while Mike Spencer and Todd Spencer with Lee & Associates represented Integra Beauty.

“We were happy to work with JobsOhio and Columbus 2020 to assist Integra Beauty’s expansion into Central Ohio,” said Andrew Weeks, Executive Vice President of VanTrust. “We are confident it will be successful and hope this building will serve the company well for a long time.”

“Integra Beauty’s decision to expand to Groveport emphasizes our capabilities for e-commerce operations, particularly for the retail and fashion industry,” said Jeff Green, Assistant City Administrator and Development Director at the City of Groveport. “We are thrilled to welcome Integra Beauty to our community and look forward to supporting its continued success.”

With greater access to the U.S. market than any other major metro, the Columbus Region is a strategic location for the movement of goods and is ranked No. 1 among U.S. metros for concentration of apparel headquarters. More than 4,400 logistics establishments employing over 83,000 employees thrive on the Region’s modern interstate highway system, third-party logistics companies and multiple rail terminals. The Columbus Region is already home to major retail and e-commerce companies including L Brands, Abercrombie & Fitch, Lane Bryant, zulily and BarkBox.

“We and our partners at Columbus 2020 are excited to welcome Integra Beauty to Ohio,” said Ted Griffith, Managing Director for Technology and Logistics at JobsOhio. “The Columbus Region is a magnet for both the fashion industry and logistics operations, and we look forward to partnering with Integra Beauty as it creates 60 jobs at its new Groveport facility.”
