OK: Muskogee Leads Oklahoma in Capital Investment Growth for 2024

Feb 18, 2025

Muskogee has secured the top position in Oklahoma for capital investment in 2024, ranking #1 in the state with over $4.1 billion in announced projects, according to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce’s New Growth + Expansions Report. This achievement marks a dramatic leap from its fifth-place ranking in prior years, showcasing the power of long-term planning, strategic infrastructure investments, workforce readiness, and business-friendly partnerships.

Muskogee’s economic transformation is fueled by major commitments across multiple industries.  Leading projects include CoreScientific/CoreWeave, a leader in AI and high-performance computing infrastructure; Polaris Technologies, a Bitcoin data center innovator; Love Bottling, a regional leader in beverage logistics and distribution; and QLF, a global agricultural solutions provider specializing in liquid feed supplements, livestock tubs, and fertilizer technologies.

“Muskogee isn’t just attracting investment—we’re redefining what’s possible for Oklahoma’s economy,” said Kimbra Scott, Executive Director of Port Muskogee. “With world-class infrastructure, a skilled workforce, and a community committed to success, we’re ready to welcome Oklahoma’s next wave of industry and opportunity. This isn’t a momentary win—it’s the  result of years of intentional planning.”

Muskogee’s rise reflects its unique position as the only micropolitan in Oklahoma with the 4 R’s Rail, Road, River and Runway. Muskogee offers unmatched connectivity, providing businesses seamless access to national and global markets. The area also benefits from Oklahoma’s lowest industrial power rates, backed by Oklahoma Gas and Electric (OG&E), and a coalition of public private partners including the City of Muskogee, Muskogee County, the State of Oklahoma, and the  City of Muskogee Foundation.

Muskogee's success is driven by three core pillars: People, Power, and Partnerships. Strategic infrastructure investments, including Port Muskogee’s Industrial Park and workforce development initiatives, have positioned the region as a prime location for emerging industries. With a "ready-to build" environment, a skilled workforce, dependable energy resources, and robust public-private collaboration, Muskogee offers a business-friendly ecosystem that fosters operational growth and attracts significant investment.

“This milestone belongs to everyone who believed in Muskogee’s potential,” Scott added. “We’re  not just building facilities—we’re creating careers, opportunities, and a legacy for future  generations.”
