Food retailer Giant Eagle has opened its new headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pa. The location will be the base for more than 400 employees.
"People who worked in the old building, they were really impressed on how modern the building is and feel like this is a great place they can come and work," CEO Bill Artman said. "Some people never worked in an office. I spoke with a team member yesterday who joined in 2020."
Artman says the headquarters moved from Allegheny County to Butler County because it was the right space for a fresh start. The four-story, 100,000-square-foot building has a gym, cafe and walking trails.
Giant Eagle donated $25,000 to Cranberry Township to support Powell Farm that helps families living below the poverty line. A sculpture made out of canned goods will eventually go to The Mall at Robinson for an event, then the food will be donated to families in need.
