The South Carolina Department of Commerce and the York County Economic Development Commission announced that C.M. Steel Inc., an affiliate of SteelFab, will locate its corporate headquarters in York County. The $7 million investment is expected to bring 85 new jobs to the area.

C.M. Steel Inc. is a steel manufacturer for commercial and industrial buildings. The company is expanding its manufacturing operations and plans to relocate their corporate headquarters to York County. Over the next five years, C.M. Steel’s project investment is estimated to total over $7 million.

Mr. Houston O. “Buddy” Motz, chairman of York County Council said, “C.M. Steel’s consolidation of operations in York County certainly means more jobs and investment for our area, but also provides further proof that we have become a preferred location for new business location and expansion in the Charlotte region.”
