US Foods Holding Corp. says CHEF'STORE will open a 33,000- square-foot warehouse-style grocery store this fall in Spartanburg, which will be the fourth CHEF'STORE location in South Carolina. The other stores are in Charleston, Myrtle Beach and Columbia.

The retailer is a "one-stop shop," according to a company statement, offering everything restaurant operators, chefs, community groups and families could need for their kitchens. Madeline Weekman, senior account executive for FleishmanHillard, on behalf of US Foods, said in a statement that Spartanburg was chosen due to its vibrant restaurant and culinary scene.

CHEF'STORE carries more than 4,000 restaurant-quality products, including groceries like fresh meat, produce, dairy, and deli items. It also has beverages and frozen seafood; pantry staples for baking, and restaurant essentials including janitorial supplies. The products will be available in a variety of sizes. Unlike many warehouse-style stores, CHEF'STORE does not require customers to purchase a membership to shop, reports the online publication GoUpstate.
