Douglas Machine Shop, Inc., a custom metal fabricator and machine shop, announced plans to expand its current operations in Chesterfield County. The more than $2.5 million investment is projected to create 13 new jobs.
Established in 1978, family-owned Douglas Machine Shop, Inc. specializes in a variety of services including computer numerical control (CNC) machining, metal fabrication, welding, laser and plasma cutting, as well as manufacturing custom-made machinery. In addition, the company is also a retailer of hydraulic hoses and fittings; industrial supplies; and stainless steel, aluminum and carbon steel.
Located at 23630 state Highway 9 in Mount Croghan, Douglas Machine Shop, Inc.'s expansion will add 8,000 square feet to the company's existing building to increase manufacturing capabilities.
