Greenwood County, S.C.’s industrial partner, E.A. Sween Company, officially opened its new production facility. The plant, located in the North Greenwood Industrial Park, will run two shifts per day, with plans to hire more than 300 workers.
Greenwood County, S.C.’s industrial partner, E.A. Sween Company, officially opened its new production facility. The plant, located in the North Greenwood Industrial Park, will run two shifts per day, with plans to hire more than 300 workers in the next two years.
“We are thrilled to see our vision of this new facility become a reality,” said Tom H. Sween, President and Chief Executive Officer of E.A. Sween Company. “We appreciate the continued community support as this project has been nearly two years in the making. We are also grateful for outstanding partnerships with both Greenwood County and the town of Hodges in guiding us on this journey.”
Founded in 1955, E.A. Sween Company is a third-generation, privately owned company that produces and ships sandwiches and other ready-to-eat products nationally. Its brands include Deli Express®, Market Sandwich®, San Luis® and Simply Delicious® Bakery. The company sells more than 100 million sandwiches annually.
