Frontier Communications, a leading provider of broadband, high-speed internet, video, phone and data security services, will add 70 new employees to its residential call center operations, located at 919 Lumber Street. Hiring is underway with applicants being accepted online at www.frontier.com/careers.
This marks the third expansion for Frontier in Horry County. Currently the center houses 146 employees. The fourth floor of the building has been renovated to accommodate the additional employees with a ribbon cutting scheduled for March 5 at 3:00 p.m. to mark the occasion.
“The representatives in our call centers provide a vital service to both our new and existing customers,” said Christine Blackman, Frontier’s Vice President for Residential Call Center Sales and Service. “Their interactions set the tone for great relationships with our customers and our Myrtle Beach employees are some of the best at their job in Frontier. That’s a testament to the quality of the employees we find in the Horry County region.”
Frontier worked closely with the Myrtle Beach Economic Development Corporation and the city of Myrtle Beach to execute this expansion.
“On behalf of the entire Myrtle Beach Regional Economic Development Corporation board and staff, I want to thank Frontier Communications for continuing their growth and success in Myrtle Beach and Horry County,” said Sandy Davis, President and CEO for the economic development group. “Frontier Communications is another example of our winning workforce and the opportunities that come from doing business in this area. They are a great partner in our region and we appreciate the opportunity to assist them in any way we can.”
