Kilgore Economic Development Corporation

Kilgore is located east of Dallas on Interstate 20 and is considered a manufacturing center in the Northeast Texas area.  A full 20% of employment is in goods producing sectors.

 

Kilgore Economic Development Corporation is an organization founded in 1990 and funded by a dedicated sales tax approved by voters. It is directed by a five-person board and managed by a staff of three with certifications in economic development and economic development finance.  KEDC has won international awards for excellence in economic development. In the last five years KEDC staff worked projects that represent more than $150 million investment and more than 2,800 jobs.
