Five Star Custom Foods Plans New Mfg. Plant; Create 250 New Jobs

Incentives lure Texas food manufacturer Five Star Custom Foods will be opening a new manufacturing plant in Nashville, creating 250 new jobs in the next three years, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce announced recently. The Nashville facility will be the second for the company, which is expanding in the Southeast and handles production now at a Fort Worth, Texas, plant that employs 250. Five Star produces meat products and sauces for branded food manufacturers and food service operators. It bought the former food service distribution center of Commissary Operations Inc., which went out of business last year.
