84 Lumber is pleased to announce the relocation of its Western Team Headquarters from the Phoenix, Arizona area to Dallas, Texas, effective this month. This strategic move is aimed at enhancing the company's support for its stores in Texas and beyond.
The decision to relocate was driven by the need to better serve 84 Lumber's operations as the company continues its expansion plans on the West Coast. The Western division has more than 40 locations with plans to add more stores and manufacturing facilities in the coming months. By situating the headquarters in the Central Time Zone, the company can ensure more efficient coordination and support for a significant amount of current and future locations.
Mark Mollico, the Western office director since 2016 and director of talent acquisition at 84 Lumber, emphasized the significance of the move, stating, "Our Western stores, EWP hubs, and door shops are among the largest in the company." he added, "Having the office in Dallas will foster better synergy between the stores and our THQ associates."
Situated at 2119 Irving Blvd, Dallas, Texas, the new 5,000-square-foot office space offers proximity to one of the largest airports in the United States. This strategic location ensures convenient access to direct flights to almost any of the company’s Western U.S. stores across Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico, facilitating seamless business operations.
“We are excited to move our Western Team Headquarters to Dallas, said 84 Lumber Western Divisional Vice President Jorge Espinoza. “Our associates are the backbone of this company, and we make strategic decisions like this one based on our people and the needs of our stores. We call both of our headquarters, team headquarters, because it’s all about the team at 84.”
Recruitment efforts for the new location are already underway. 84 Lumber is actively seeking qualified candidates for positions such as HR coordinator, construction manager, and pricing analyst. While most of the team will be based in Dallas, a team will continue to operate from an office in Phoenix. The company will also be adding a credit manager and purchasing manager in California (Pacific Time Zone) to help fuel the expansion plans for the state.
