TX: Industrial Distributor McMaster-Carr to Build Regional HQ in Fort Worth, With 250 Employees

May 03, 2024

E-commerce industrial distribution company McMaster-Carr will start to build out its regional headquarters and distribution center in North Fort Worth, which is planned to be up and running by 2028. The company is a supplier of hardware, tools, raw materials, industrial materials and maintenance equipment.

The facility, in Hillwood’s AllianceTexas development, will utilize both automation and human capital to supply industrial parts to local and national customers. McMaster-Carr is expected to have 150 full-time employees within its first year of operation and 250 full-time employees within its first six years. Jobs must pay an average salary of $85,000 to get the city incentives.

The Fort Worth City Council last year agreed to give the Illinois-based company an $18 million grant to build its Southwest regional headquarters on the 117-acre site at 4894 Litsey Road. To receive the grant, the company must commit to spending at least $180 million to develop the site and $180 million on personal property.

The construction cost listed on the TDLR filing is $225 million, though the projected investment total between the development of the site and personal property is $360 million.
