Campbell’s celebrated the expansion of its Richmond, Utah bakery with the opening of a new Goldfish production line. The new state-of-the-art line is part of a $160 million investment, announced July 2023, to increase production of Goldfish crackers to help meet increased consumer demand. The investment will create more than 85 new roles over the next three years in Richmond.
“Goldfish is an iconic brand within Campbell’s portfolio that has experienced exponential growth, and our Richmond bakery has been one of the key engines behind its success. This strategic investment expands our production, creates jobs, fuels local economic growth, and deepens our roots in Cache Valley,” said Chris Foley, Executive Vice President and President, Campbell Snacks.
Related to the project, Utah Flour Milling, LLC is building a flour mill adjacent and connected to Campbell’s bakery. The onsite mill is a partnership between PHM Brands’ Panhandle Milling and NIPPN CORPORATION. The mill will increase supply reliability, provide capacity for continued growth and improve plant efficiency.
With a bakery in Richmond and operations in Logan, Campbell’s now employs more than 450 people in the Cache Valley region. The Richmond bakery, which has made Pepperidge Farm products for 50 years, was recently named one of the top employers in Northern Utah by the Cache Valley Daily and Cache Valley Media Group.
