Canyon Labs, a new full-service laboratory offering medical device, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical testing, scientific and regulatory consulting, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) services, announced its partnership with BioUtah—the only trade association devoted to serving the life sciences business community in Utah.

Of the partnership, Canyon Labs’ CEO Dr. Haven McCall remarked, “We’re thrilled to be part of BioUtah and its 200 members, including many influential companies like BioFire, Merit Medical, and Stryker just to name a few. To be associated with many of these incredible organizations and to be able to serve one of the fastest-growing life sciences communities in the country is a  fantastic opportunity.”

In turn, BioUtah’s president and CEO Kelvyn Cullimore says, “As an organization dedicated to bringing together life sciences businesses and teams throughout the state—including medical device, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, laboratories, and biotechnology— having Canyon Labs join  BioUtah as an Elite Level member is very exciting. With a shared singular focus on improving health and wellness through the development and delivery of innovative technologies, services,  and solutions, we look forward to the positive contribution we know Canyon Labs will make to building the life sciences industry in Utah. Their commitment to offering services to help Utah  life sciences companies achieve stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards will be a  valuable service.” Cullimore adds, “We know that the more businesses like Canyon Labs that  become part of BioUtah, the more it will help us reach our goal of growing the state of Utah  into a global life sciences leader and epicenter for innovation, health care quality, and job  creation.”

With a team of experienced scientists, microbiologists, chemists, and regulatory experts,  Canyon Labs has over 100 years of experience in the laboratory industry and guiding businesses through the complexities of products regulated by the FDA.

Dr. McCall of Canyon Labs says, “We feel BioUtah’s goal of accelerating health care advances through collaboration within the life science community aligns seamlessly with our goals at  Canyon Labs. Our state-of-the-art facility will serve many of the medical device and pharmaceutical organizations that are part of BioUtah and future startups that join the organization. We are also committed to growing the sector by creating more jobs.” Adding, “By  early 2023, we will have 50 full-time employees on staff at Canyon Labs and look forward to  continuing to grow in the years to come.”
