Primark, the international retailer offering quality fashion at value prices, announced it will open its new store at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, Virginia on Thursday, April 10. This opening will offer more than 32,000 square feet of retail selling space with the latest fashion trends and essentials, homewares, and beauty at prices local shoppers are seeking out.
On the heels of its opening at Tysons Corner Center in Tysons, Virginia last year, Potomac Mills will bring Primark to two stores in the state and 30 stores in the US, across 12 states. Including its Arundel Mills location in Hanover, Maryland, the Potomac Mills store is the brand's third in the DMV, bringing Primark's affordable style to even more Washington, D.C. metro area shoppers, who can't get enough of the retailer. Primark is continuing to expand its presence in the area with another lease signed at the Mall at Prince George's in Hyattsville, Maryland.
"Since Primark opened stores in Maryland and Virginia, just outside the nation's capital, we've seen a strong demand for more of the joy that Primark brings to local shoppers," said Kevin Tulip, President of Primark US. "We are gearing up to open our doors at Potomac Mills, and are excited to bring a new community of DMV shoppers more of Primark's unmatched combination of style, quality and affordability, continuing our success in the area."
In preparation for the opening, Primark's Talent Acquisition team is searching for retail colleagues to fill full- and part-time roles. All available roles can be viewed and applied for on the Primark Careers Site and successful applicants can look forward to Primark's competitive salary, with sales associate base pay starting at $15.00 an hour and $0.50 per hour increases at 6 months and 12 months of continued employment.
Primark will be hosting a series of events to kick off the store's opening weekend. Beginning Thursday, April 10, shoppers can expect local treats and special giveaways including a bouquet bar with fresh floral arrangements, first come first served, a DJ spinning live tracks, and more. Woodbridge shoppers will be greeted with Primark's signature Irish hospitality throughout the weekend, as the brand continues to grow its Virginia presence.
There is something for the whole family at Primark – from everyday essentials, with denim starting at $10 and tee shirts at $4.50, to an extensive collection of licensed product at affordable prices, including fan-favorite collections such as Netflix and Disney. In addition, the Potomac Mills opening will bring affordable NBA and NFL apparel to fans looking to represent the Washington Wizards and Washington Commanders, with prices starting at just $14.
